It is good to get the news that the water had been receded and the flood’s victims can return to their house after the second wave. But should they just return their home without planning or doing something to prevent the flood which might be attacked again? Yes the natural disaster is inevitable. But I believed that we can definitely do something to lighten up the impact of the flood.
Flood is no longer a new issue that we discussed anymore. It existed long time ago and yet we have not seriously taking this issues into consideration. Since that flood had becoming a hot issue again I hope that citizen can seriously pay attention to this issue and come out with the flood resolution.
Prevention is better than cure. The major cause of flood in Malaysia is because of the poor drainage system. We don’t have enough drainage available for excess water to flow thus resulting in flood. I think our rivers and drains need to be rid of silt in order to minimize or reduce flood issues. Other reason which causes the flood happening, worst of all is because of the human being who liked to throw the rubbish to the drain. This might be causing the excess water to flow resulting in floods. This is our cultural of throwing rubbish. Because of this unmoral behaviors or actions, it causes the flood to happen. What comes around goes around. After this flood experience I hope our citizen will know what they should do by educating them not to throw the rubbish into drain or river. This problem can be resolved by cleaning the drain up in order for the excess water flow into river.
I do hope that all Malaysian live peacefully without any disaster. Please make our country peace and harmony in conjunction to the Visit Malaysia 2007.

It's kind of sad for Malaysian to face this natural disaster at the beginning of the year. Perhaps, it is a challege for us since we have been living peacefully for years... i think it is part of every Malaysian to works together and go through this hard moment. Is appreciated that if everyone of us will have the thought of lending a helping hand to those victims.
well, its hard to ask ppl for not throwing rubbish into river since d goverment was not doin their proper job in cleaning..hense,tis force ppl to do so.....other than tat, goverment oso should deeper d drain for flood-prevention.....
besides, malaysian should ignore one of their bad habbits--selfish!then oni v can achive 2020 peacefully...
In my opinion, flood may be a sign for us to take care of our environment.. We live pacefully for years and years in Malaysia and we used to be proud that as our country is free from natural disaster and multiracial residents live in a same country peacefully without much conflict or problems..But now, suddenly flood came to Malaysia..Is it a signal for us? Or it's actually a kind of warning for us to love our environment, otherwise there will be more unfortunate incidents happen? None of us will know the answer..
what we can do is just to reduce pollution and love our environment..As i strongly agree about what you said : "prevention better than cure." Hope that all of us are able to do so and help to save our environment and country..
