Nothing is impossible

Dream come true:Small little girl gets to meet the Digi's yellow men

Well personally I believe that “Nothing is impossible”. If you have strong spirit of determination, your dream will come true.
Well, let me share with you all the news that I read. This is just normal news, not really hot news. But I feel like want to share with you all about the news that I read.
Well I believe that most of the Malaysian had been watching the Digi advertisement in the television. Once the yellow men appear we know that this is one of the mobile phone's coverage companies in Malaysia-Digi.
There is the cute and curious small little girl who calls Rachel Chan, 7 years old. Because of the Little Rachel Chan had been so enchanted by the yellow men on TV that she wanted to meet them. So the seven-year-old wrote them a letter. Because she watched the Digi men in the TV that the Digi men liked to follow people. She is welcome the Digi men follow her to come to her house and follow her to school. While everyone think that this is impossible and just a little small girl are trying to make a day dream.Well, surprisingly she got her wish. The Digi men really appear in front of her at her house and follow Rachel going to school. This is much to the envy of her schoolmates who were assembled in the hall.
Imagine the little small girl also has the determination to achieve her dream then I wonder why we cannot achieve our dream as well. As long as we are willing to take a first step further to achieve our dream like the Rachel Chan writing the Digi men with the letter. I think that your dream already success for the half way.
Well that day for the Rachel Chan end up with happily by dancing with their ‘boing-boing dance with the Digi men and thousand-odd students.

Students...

Well last week the SPM and STPM results were out. Some of students feel happy with their results some of them might not think so. All the hard work is given out just because they wanted to get the good results to be shown in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia( SPM )and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia(STPM )results slip.
I noticed that the trend of taking more papers than required for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination is getting seriously. This trens started only following the introduction of the open certificate in 2000. Personally I don’t get any point why students have to take more subjects.
The school authorities said Science students could take Arts papers. It means that students are compulsory to take 12 papers required for Science stream students and these students can take additional Arts subjects if they like. However students have to pay themselves the exam fees for the extra subjects.
Some of them think that taking additional subjects was just a matter of interest. Science stream students may be wanted to take Accounts in case their wanted to do it as a career. But it must be hard for students to balance between studying and living.Taking more subjects seemed like students are trying to commit suicide. Students are taking the risk. It is pretty hard for students to manage their time well. Besides this students take more subjects simply because about their ‘kiasu’ attitude. Students nowadays are just blindly following the trend for taking more subjects. This is simple to show that students are ‘kiasu’. They may just want to prove they can do it, some may just want to see how they fare and some simply just want to test themselves.
Well I think that we should not just look at the results. What is important is for the children to learn life skills.Life students just know to study but don't have life skills is just like we are eating burger without fries.

Malaysia boleh

Malaysia Boleh! Yes, hope that It is not too late for me to congratulate Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong for their excellent performance in winning the All- England Men’s doubles title at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham last Sunday. This is certainly made all Malaysians feel proud of it. They should be rewarded accordingly. They played the game excellent. Their performance is a sign of a revival for Malaysian badminton.
I hope that Malaysians people will be simulated by their achievement. I hope that the win will inspire others to emulate their example. Work hard and develop your potential to the maximum and achieve excellence in what you do.
Even though we don’t have best facilities and the best coaches in the world, but if you lack the drive and the determination, all hope of winning anything would have already been lost. The key to success is simply about the passion and desire to win.
By this achievement I hope that we can show to the world that we can do it as well. We can train to churn out the best sportsmen and athletes in the world as well. Be proud to be Malaysians. Show the people in the world we are made in, Malaysians, so that we may really be proud to say Malaysia Boleh! I do hope that other Malaysian athletes will build up the Malaysia reputation in the world that we can compete in the international arena, to bring glory to our country.

Corruption in Malaysia

There are things in the world that we can not deny about. Among the ethnic in Malaysia, Chinese society is the most people getting involve in the corruption compare to the others. This has become the Malaysian Chinese society “culture” in involving this unmoral activity. According to the survey, the percentage for Chinese society involve in the corruption activity for last year is about 58%, Indian 23%, while Malay society is the lowest among the other which is only 14%.

It is understood that people would not try to get themselves involve in the corruption if they have a choice. Try to ask yourself: “Who will like to pay unnecessary money to the other people?” If the situation is not allowed then people only will try to do whatever they can (even break the laws) as long as they will not get into any trouble. I can see why a policeman for example would accept a bribe to let someone go free - they are often underpaid and extra cash is always a tempting prospect. There are several reasons why people are engaged in the corruption.

First, people think that corruption is to avoid any incontinence. People don’t want to get into the trouble if they think that money is the root to settle for all problems. Second, people will pay less than the actual amount that they need to pay. Third, people want to avoid in any complicated process such as going to the government organization to pay for the ‘saman’. This is rather waste of the time.

To achieve the vision 2020, we do hope that we can have a clean, good and corruption-free Government and an administration that provides high quality and excellent services.

Safer Drive

Good work: SAC Nooryah thanking some of the policemen who took part in Ops Sikap XII.

Well I would like to congratulate for the efficiency in reducing the numbers of accident occur during the Chinese New Year festival. I hope that the police will continue to practice for longer period not just a few days. Only through this serious operation the driver will only learn to be respected in the basic traffic laws. The present of ops sikap operation has proven to be effective in ensuring that drivers strictly followed the law while on the road. The ops sikap operation had been showing the positive results by deployment the policemen in the express buses to ensure that the bus drivers obeyed traffic laws. This treatment should be made to other road user as well.
In my opinion, instead of highlighting the number of deaths and accidents, I think that the ops sikap operation should report the poor attitudes among the road user. I think polices who involved in these ops sikap operation should highlight the bad behaviors of the road user. By highlighting this, public can further understand and be educate what drivers with bad attitudes mean. They should highlight daily about the number of drivers caught speeding, overtaking at double lines, overtaking using emergency lanes of the highways, beating the traffic lights and a host of other attitude related offences. Fine the road user who breaks the traffic laws so that they learn to take the responsibility with what they do.
I think the main purpose for the road safety programme is trying to make us more courteous and safe drivers and not just to prevent accidents and deaths on roads. Road user have to educate by not being so reckless while they all driving. Be a good road user to prevent the accident happening. Love yourself, love your family members. Always be aware while you are driving.

Thousands usher in new year

Happy Chinese New Year!!! This year is brand new year. In this year of Boar I do hope that everyone can live peacefully and happily.
Like usual, every first day of CNY, Our MCA will have an open house to invite all Malaysians from all walks of life to celebrate together the CNY. This is unique for having this culture for Malaysians to strengthen each other relationship during the festival. Ten of thousand of Malaysians even the visitors (foreigners) can also come and join together the celebration. There do have lion dance performance during that day. This has been created the situation even hotter.
But it is sad for me to say that most of the people attend this open house don’t queue up in order to get their foods. People there seemed that afraid they don’t have food to eat. So they wanted to grad their foods. For me this action is rather rudeness and spoils our image in front of the visitors. What will visitors think about for these rude actions of grading the foods? No only this, actually most of the Malaysians don’t really like to queue in order to get their turn. They like to cut the queue. Most Malaysians seemed that they are impatience. They can’t wait. They just wanted to get thing done soon. Like even driving the car, once traffic jam they will break the rule to use the emergency line.
I think Malaysians have to take this issue seriously and improved from the mistake that we did. In order to retain our good reputation we definitely have to change this bad habits.

Goverment wants suggestions on improving delivery system

Currently Malaysia government is asking Malaysian to give some suggestions on improving delivery system from all walks of life. This is good that government knows their problems and wants to improve the delivery system. It is good that the Malaysia government knows their problem and takes it seriously. Even it is a bit late to release the problems has already been facing long time ago but I think late is better then the government don’t release the failure of the delivery system.
Personally I feel that when I call to the government helpline to seek for help .It is so frustrated to hear that “please hold on your line, I will pass your problems or questions to other department in charge. It is not just a moment to wait until the other department to answer your phone. It takes long time to passing the phone to other department in charge. I think they are not efficiency in their work. They suppose already had training with their work before they start working. How come they still don’t know how to handle customer’s request. The other main service that needs to be improved is serving the customer with speed. It is like our culture that serving customers slowly by the government servant. Customers used to wait long time only can be served by them. I wonder and always asked myself that ‘why they couldn’t serve customers even faster as possible’. Time is precious. Customers sometime have to wait for half day only reaches their turn to be served.
But one thing I feel proud of the government servant services is about their civil service. They are good in providing the civil services for the customers. They used to smile happily and greed the customers before they providing their services for the customers.
In the conjunction of the visit Malaysia 2007 I do hope that the government takes this issue seriously and improved it immediately. This is good to have good reputation by giving the foreigner the best of the best services as we can.
